GW x LYS BEAUTY “Give The Gift of Confidence” Scholarship
At a time when COVID-19 still has a grip on the nation, and as an organization dedicated to empowering and equipping young women for career readiness, Gyrl Wonder is aware that the pandemic has done a number on the confidence of our mentees entering the real world at the tale end of chaos.
Numbers don’t Iie -- new graduates are walking into the worst job market since the Great Depression. Student loan debt isn’t letting up even in the middle of a global pandemic -- past and current students currently owe $1.64 trillion, averaging $35,397 of federal debt each. The bottom line: Gyrl Wonder recognizes today’s stressful realities, and is committed to helping gyrls fill in the gaps as they work towards their dreams.
Building personal confidence while supporting young gyrls and women is extremely important to the Gyrl Wonder mission. This Giving Tuesday, we have teamed up with LYS Beauty to launch the "Give the Gift of Confidence" Scholarship where five (5) young women will be awarded $1,000 towards their spring 2022 tuition.
